Linda Revels DuPont, age 74, passed away peacefully at the Bailey Family Center for Caring in St. Augustine, FL surrounded by her family on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at 3:45 a.m.

Linda is survived by her husband of 54 years, James L. DuPont of Faver Dykes, FL; children, Lee (Lesley) DuPont, Tressie Paytas, Trudy (Jimmy) Tedder, Jorja (Dominic) Oliva; siblings Betty Jo (Marvin) Strickland, George (Miriam) Rebels, Janelle (Howard) Barbour, sister-in-law Joy Davis, grandchildren Cortney (Kris), Jake (Brittany), Carley, Caysen, Krysten, Wayne, Timmy, Kyler, Carmen, Bricen, Nick, Zack, great grandchildren Damien, Phoenix, Aubrey Lee, numerous nieces and nephews.

Her parents Robert B. Revels and Georgia Elizabeth Sutton Rebels preceded Linda in death.

Linda was born on July 29th, 1943 in Ocala, FL. She graduated from Bunnell High School and attended Daytona Business College. Linda married the love of her life James "Jimmy" DuPont, fondly known as My Jimmy, in 1964. She discovered her love of writing and photography when she accepted a position with the Flagler Tribune covering local happenings and weekly Chatter Box for many years. Mr. Hein was delighted when she accepted his offer to work in his photo shop.

Linda was a cherished substitute for Flagler County Schools for over 30 years before her retirement. She was remembered for her love of God, family, friends, and life. She loved a full house on all holidays, especially on her favorite holiday Christmas where she carried out family traditions and made everyone's favorite dishes. She never met a stranger and her greatest joy was being a wife, mother, and "Mampma". Her hobbies included Bingo, photography, creative writing, traveling, old western movies, and making memories with her grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at St. Johns Family Funeral Home. St. Johns Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
